Happy Paws and Friends Ltd began, like many good things do, with one dog and one simple problem.
When Tracey adopted Luna, her rescue dog from Romania, she quickly discovered that finding the right collar and harness was not as easy as it should have been. Luna was an unusual size. Too strong for flimsy designs, too sensitive for stiff materials, and somehow everything that fit properly lacked any sense of style. The choices were either practical but unattractive, or beautiful but uncomfortable and poorly made.
Living in Leeds, Tracey spent countless hours searching for products that balanced comfort, quality and design. Luna deserved to feel secure, comfortable and confident, without compromising on personality. But again and again, the options fell short.
At the same time, Nick was dedicating his time to caring for injured and recovering birds through his aviary. His work brought him close to the realities of animal welfare every day. He saw first-hand how important proper equipment, gentle materials and thoughtful design are to an animal’s wellbeing, recovery and quality of life.
Through many conversations, they realised something simple. Pet owners should not have to choose between quality, comfort and affordability. Nor should they have to compromise on style.
So together, they created Happy Paws and Friends Ltd.
